dancing
binge watching Breaking Bad
or Better Call Saul
ice-cream
wine
whisky
cake
a walk in the park
yoga
meditation
medication if needed

and occasional sex

sometimes help
anxiety
too.

  1. It’s a worthwhile exercise to make a list like this, of things that bring us joy. Certainly helps with the anxiety that can come. I’ve never seen those two TV shows, but I’m with you on the other items. Particularly the walk in the park and meditation. Seriously good stuff.

  2. Such a lovely honest blog. As Mary Oliver says, ‘make fear your sister, she will whether or no’. I would add reading Mary Oliver to the list. Her poetry has such a holding containing presence that it has comforted me in anxiety bouts.
